During our current situation, I continually try to find ways to remain positive and encourage you to do the same. Over the next several weeks I will be spotlighting numerous staff members so that you can learn more about them!
First up, Mr. Strickler, our Superintendent...
1. How long have you been at Columbia High School and what is your role?
This is my 3rd year as Superintendent at Columbia.
2. What hobbies and interests do you have outside of school?
PIAA Basketball official for 20 years
Doing things with 2 grandchildren (soon to be 3 😊
Traveling with my wife, Angie
Attending student events
3. What is your favorite vacation spot?
We haven’t decided yet. So we are traveling every Christmas and summer to a different destination until we determine our favorite. Today, the favorite is Riviera Maya, Mexico
4. Do you have any pets?
Black lab and a cat
5. What is your favorite food?
All Seafood and steak with any vegetable
6. Do you have any hidden talents?
Many years ago, I was an organist for a local church. Also attempted to play the piano
7. What is your ultimate dream job?
Currently have my ultimate Dream job! My passion is for children to have an equal opportunity at success. Leveling the playing field and making education available to all and not be at a disadvantage based on the Zip Code you live in. Columbia’s educators are creating a Team that are raising the bar and giving students equal opportunities for their future. After 25 years in business environment, there is nothing better than being part of the Columbia Education Team!

No other organization has the support or Pride that exists in Columbia.


Tuesday is Sports/Extracurricular Activity Day for our virtual spirit week: Wear your Columbia Sports/Activity attire or even professional sports attire in honor of students that are missing activities that they enjoy.
