A message from Columbia High School Principal, Robert Kedney:

Dear Parents, Caregivers, and Students,

It is with regret that I’m sending this message to inform you that I have submitted my resignation as the principal of Columbia High School, effective October 15, 2021.

My decision to leave the Columbia Borough School District was a difficult one to make. I am grateful for the opportunity I have had to work with you as stakeholders in your child’s education. It has been a privilege to work in my community.

My personal and professional experiences over the last year have led me to reflect on my career in education and I have made the difficult decision to step away from public education and pursue a new career.

During my remaining time I am focused on starting the school year strong, making a difference every day for every student, and ensuring a smooth and seamless transition to the next principal.

With Gratitude,

 Robert Kedney
