This summer, our district created a winning aspiration that reads, “Every child in the borough is enrolled, engaged, and excelling and is well-positioned to be a productive member of their community.”This aspiration is extremely important to me as we educate, support, and guide ALL of our students to be successful.
Columbia High School focuses on providing opportunities for student growth and success in academics, athletics, and extracurricular activities.This year we have added a full-time art teacher to provide increased opportunities for our students.In addition, we have increased our athletic opportunities through partnering with Day Spring Academy where we offer co-op programs in co-ed golf, boys soccer, and girl’s lacrosse.
From an extracurricular standpoint, we have numerous opportunities for students to explore their interests ranging from esports, chess club, girls who code, weightlifting, and art club just to name a few.We encourage all students to see Mr. Kedney, our Director of Athletics and Extracurricular activities, to learn about all of the opportunities we offer.
It is my honor and privilege to serve our students, staff, and community as the principal at Columbia High School.I am committed to fulfilling our district’s mission, “The Columbia Borough School District provides a learning environment for each student to fulfill his/her highest academic potential.
