The social studies team was honored to welcome Vietnam war veterans to the hill campus. Students were engaged in a panel discussion and Q and A sessions where they got to see living history and establish a link between history and everyday life!🎤✨📜
Mr. Scharf’s weight training class swapped their usual cardio for a VR (Virtual Reality) session—and they crushed it! 🎮💪 Students got moving with interactive fitness games, having a blast while still getting in that cardio. Earlier this month, high school students had the exciting opportunity to visit Lancaster Airport for an event focused on careers in aviation. More recently, they participated in College Exploration field trips. At Thaddeus Stevens College of Technology, students attended a college fair featuring representatives from over 100 institutions. The following day, a group of students explored healthcare majors at Saint Joseph’s University Lancaster campus, where they enjoyed a campus tour and an informative session with a university representative.✈️ 🎓🏫

Yesterday, Columbia students were able to take a trip to the Lancaster Airport thanks to Flight Path. Students learned about some of the many possible careers that are obtainable in the world of aviation. Students were able to sit in a plane, practice flight simulations, interact with current and retired professionals, speak to post secondary recruiters, and of course, fly paper airplanes! On top of all of this, they took a trip of the airport on the runways and saw planes taking off and landing!
